But not the show.
This episode was a thing. I guess? I would have far preferred to have the episode focus more on how Rarity and Pinkie both don't get that they just don't get each other. We could have had some amazing character interaction and relationship stuff with them both coming to a better understanding of how each other work and garnering a lot of squishy feelings and stuff.
Wow, how long has it been since I did one of these? Eh, blame life and laziness; I feel it helps.
Flutter Brutter is just depressing. The less said about it, the better. This week, things look up thanks to the correct buttload of references.
Spoilers head. Play by play commentary.
Know nearly nothing about this episode except maybe one of the guest characters and MAYBE the theme, but I seriously doubt it.
After reading a 'the mane six minus Twilight, were never the elements of harmony' fanfic last night... Ugh.
Well this isn't going to watch itself.
Another week, another episode. This time we see Pinkie and Rarity team up (again) for an adventure in Canterlot for a cutie map episode. When they introduced the Cutie Map I enjoyed all those episodes from last season. It was fun to see different pairings with the mane 6. It also gave us an interesting view into other localities in Equestria that we had heard of but never visited (except for Manehatten).
I love her so much already more anthro art of her pls
So yeah. Been a while since I've given my thoughts on an episode. Didn't really have the time or the desire to, since we've gotten so many bad episodes lately, but this one was pretty good overall.
So overall thought it was a meh ep. MLP sometimes has this problem where the bulk of the episode is just going through the motions until the Main chracters of the ep figure out the right thing (this, the one where they fix up Twilight's castle, exc.)
That said, it can work sometimes like with the Saddle Row ep. Maybe it just comes down to timing and narrative flow.
This is certainly an interesting recipe, but before I start sampling it, I should note that you can help determine the subject of next week’s card blog by voting here. Now, where’d I put that spoon…
So here is it, the final ep before the hiatus. Was it a good send off til the fall/winter or was it a retread of something we've already seen?
Remember the fic I talked about a while ago? The one that Rubahhitam won as a prize for winning the latest Cutie Mark(ed) Crusaders fic contest? It's now published!
I'm going to do a small one 'cause I'll go out with my family soon since they're over my house. But when we get back from hiatus, it will all be big review probably :3
I love father and daughter relationships so much <3
Remember Backstage Affair? Judging by the high number of favourites it got, a lot of you sure do.
Well, for everone who doesn't know it yet, the fic has now a sequel! A short time after writing the fic, Erina Tail Yellow hit me up per PM and asked if she can write a sequel. Since I never planned to write one, I of course agreed.
I was away today, and only just got to watch the episode. It was another all right episode, featuring a new song, good character dynamic and some fun. The moral of the episode was wonderful, although I'm not sure why Rarity had to learn it as well. It irks me a tad that we don't have the custom credits roll tracks anymore. I hope they'll return soon. I don't have much to say about this one in terms of lore or world-building or anything, but let's go!
So today I'm going to be running through three episodes that I have yet to comment on, despite having now seen about a month or two ago.
